Reception Hours:

Summer:   8.30am - 8pm

Winter:      9am – 7pm

Christmas Day information: 9.30am - 10.30am (for guest's needs), servicing of rooms is unavailable on this day. Reception also open from 6pm - 8pm for check in and other requirements.

  • Information for PRE-BOOKED accommodation can be found in an envelope on the Reception office door.
  • Information for NON-BOOKED Powered & Non-Powered sites:
  • Outside reception opening hours on Xmas day, guests can collect an envelope with site information, including your allocated site, from on the Reception door.

Payment to be made as soon as possible when the office re-opens (6pm -8pm) on Xmas Day

Accounts:

For all forward Standard reservations: If you wish to confirm a reservation, we required a deposit equal to 25% of the full reservation at the time of booking.

Balance amount of full reservation is to be paid in full 72 hours before arrival. No refunds are given for early departure or late arrivals.

However, for a “Flexirate” reservation, full payment will be required at time of booking to confirm your reservation.

For Minimum Stay periods: Outside 30 days of arrival, a deposit of 25% of each and all rooms/sites is required is required to secure the reservation. Full payment is required 30 days before arrival.

Inside of 30 days of arrival, full payment is required to secure the reservation.

For Group bookings, please contact us directly.

 

Payment:

Payment is by Visa, Master Card or UnionPay via our secure DPS credit card payment gateway.  Carters Beach TOP 10 does not store credit card details, and all payments are handled by a secure, PCI compliant, third party. A surcharge of 2% will apply to all Visa, Mastercard and Union Pay transactions.

 

Alterations to bookings:

Alterations can be made subject to availability one month before arrival. However additional site/unit charges may apply. Any alternations will subject to management approval, and availability.

Any amendment or alterations to your reservation should be emailed by the named guest to holiday@top10westport.co.nz  and contact the park directly. No refunds will be given for any reason if the named guest alters or departs during their stay.   The named guest agrees that Carter Beach TOP 10 Holiday Park reserves the right to charge in full for any amendment or alteration one month before arrival which results in the reduction of days or amount of people booked during minimum stay periods. Minimum stay periods apply during Easter, Queens’ Birthday and Labour weekends, Buller Marathon, Buller Annual Dog Show, and Christmas/New Year, or other minimum stay periods implemented by Management.

 

Park Tariffs:

Are reviewed periodically, however management has the right to adjust tariffs without notice. Minimum stay periods may apply to some public holidays and other special events. 

 

Child ages:

Child ages are 2 -14 years inclusive - where child rates are offered.  There is no charge for children under 2 years old.

 

Reservations:

Agreements are between Carters Beach TOP 10 Holiday Park & the person making/named in the booking, which is not transferable to any other person. The named person must occupy the site or unit for the duration of the stay contracted. This named person is fully responsible/liable for all other occupants/visitors to the site/unit, for damages, behaviour, and costs incurred.

The named Guest is responsible for full paid of any accommodation booked. Carters Beach TOP 10 Holiday Park will not accept part payments by any other person in the room/s booked.

For group bookings: the person named on the booking is deemed to be ultimately responsible for the entire group and visitor/s to the group for behaviour, damages and costs incurred.

Carters Beach TOP 10 Holiday Park reserves the right, if necessary, to alter, cancel or refuse a reservation at any time.

 

Damages:

Management from Carters Beach TOP 10 Holiday Park reserves the right to charge-back, the named guest of the booking, any additional costs incurred for lost or broken items, or additional cleaning to the park and/or property if left in a manner considered beyond reasonable usage /wear and tear. 

The named guest will be informed of any additional costs before charging the credit card supplied or invoice sent.

 

Cancellations:

The person whose name the booking is under, is the only person who can cancel a booking.

For Standard bookings:  Cancellations for each booking outside 72 hours of day of check-in time of 2 pm, can request a 75% refund on the full cost of the booking. This applies for each unit/site cancelled. Any refunds will only be returned via the method of payment made, to the same account.

Inside the 72 hours of day of arrival time 2 pm, there will be no refund of the deposit already paid and the balance of the reservation will also be charged.

If credit card details are being held in lieu of a deposit, when a deposit is not received, the guest agrees to the full cost of the reservation being charged to the credit card. Holding credit card details for a deposit is only at Managements discretion.

The above Standard Cancellation policy will be waived if the named guest opts to change from a Standard to “Flexirate” booking within 24 hours of the original “Standard” booking.

The Standard cancellation policy does not apply for bookings made via the “Flexirate” option or during Minimum Stay Periods or to Group bookings

For Flexirate Bookings:  Bookings made via this option mean that if for any reason you need to cancel your booking with us, you will be entitled to a full refund of you total reservation up to 24 hours before day of arrival (being check-in time of 2pm). Inside of the 24 hours no refund will be given.

For Minimum Stay periods:

Outside of the 30 days before arrival 75% of the deposit paid will be refunded. 

Inside of 30 days of day of check-in of 2pm no refunds are given inside this period.

Within the Minimum stay period of Christmas - No departures may be booked for Christmas Day for roofed accommodation.

For Group booking: Outside 30 days of arrival, a 75% refund will apply, to the deposit held for the group.  Within 30 days of arrival date no refund will be given for the deposit held. 

For Travel Agents and Third Party’s sites: other conditions apply. Please contact reception directly.

 

Carters Beach TOP 10 Holiday Park strongly recommend that travel insurance is purchased to cover costs arising from unforeseen circumstances and changes in travel plans. Please do not expect Carters Beach TOP 10 Holiday Park to fully refund the booking/s, other than the cancellation policies pertaining to the Guest’s booking. If the guest cancels their booking with us for ANY reason. Hence, we advise insurance cover.

If all roads are closed leading to the park, management only may permit a "Flexipass" permitting guest/s to re-book for the same accommodation for the same cost, within a week only once a road is opened again. No change of cancellation refund/policy will be moved with the change of date of arrival if the "Flexipass" is permitted by management.

 

Force Majeure:

Carters Beach TOP 10 Holiday Park will not be in any breach of this agreement or in any way liable, if it is prevented from, complying with the supply of accommodation, and other related services by reason of Act of God, Act of Public Enemy, War, Earthquake, Riot, Fire, Storm, Flood, Road Closures, Explosion, Compliance with any Government Restraint Order, Rules Regulations, Strikes, Lock Outs, or any other cause not reasonably within the control of the Holiday Park.

 

Control of your personal information:

If you purchase a TOP 10 Membership Card all the Conditions of the Card will apply. These can be viewed here https://top10.co.nz/member-conditions. When you register or give us personal information when making a reservation with us, it will be held on the TOP 10 Holiday Park Group central database. Your personal details will then be able to be accessed by TOP 10 Holiday Parks Central Office and other TOP 10 Holiday Parks if you are making a reservation with them. Carters Beach Top 10 Holiday Park will not, except as required by law, share this information with any other third parties without your permission.

Carters Beach TOP 10 Holiday Park and/or the TOP 10 Central Office may send out periodic emails informing you of special offers, updated information and new services. You will always have the opportunity to unsubscribe to these communications. Please email us if you wish to unsubscribe. 

 

Conduct while in the Park:

Speed limit for all vehicles in the Park is 10 kmph (walking pace)

To ensure all guests enjoy their stay at the Park;

We ask for no noise between 10pm & 7am and on New Year’s Eve no noise after 12.30am.

All alcohol is to be consumed at the site, in the unit or down at the beach. Small bonfires are permitted down on the beach, but the fire must be small, below the high tide line and a bucket must be present to put out the fire before returning to the park. Any damage caused by the fire down on the beach is at the full responsibility of the people present. All rubbish/mess from the evening’s events must be removed and the area left tidy before departing.

We expect respect and common sense towards all other guests and Park staff. Management reserves the right to remove any person or persons and/or group/s from the property if said person/s or group/s do not abide by the Parks rules.

 

Powered sites:

  • Electrical warrant: All vehicles connecting to electrically powered sites, must have a current electrical warrant. For tents on powered sites, the connection to the parks power supply must be via an RCD cord that meets the current electrical regulations.
  • Wastewater: All water must be contained while on site. For disposal of grey & black wastewater, please dispose at the dump station located opposite the communal kitchen area.

 

Smoking:

All accommodation units and facilities are smoke free. We have bins located around the park to place your discarded cigarettes in. We ask that consideration is taking when smoking in areas around other Guests in the park.

 

Children:

Children are the responsibility of their guardian and must have them supervised at all time while in the park. Staff and Management take no responsibility to supervise children around the park including games room, TV areas, playground and Bouncing Cushion. Please make them aware of the moving vehicles all hours of the day or night.   

 

Visitors:

All visitors to the park, must report to reception on arrival. Visitors to the park are at Managements discretion. The visitor/s are the responsibility of the named guest. All visitors must depart the Park before 9 pm. Cars are to be parked in an area decided by reception staff. The named guest is liable for any costs relating to the visitor time at the park. 

 

Pets:

All pets visiting/staying at the park MUST be approved by Management before entering the Park ground. The follow rules apply:

  • All dogs while in the Park must remain on a lead, at all time.
  • Any damage or mess created by the pet; to park, person or property is fully the owner’s responsibility, and is to be rectified to the Parks standard before the animal leaves the Park.
  • Dogs can freely run down the beach. If a dog goes to the toilet on the beach, we ask that you clean-up after them. Also, we would like to make owners aware that at each end of the beaches grassy banks, there are Little Blue Penguins nesting areas. Please control your animals when in these areas. The most common cause of death for these penguins is from dog attacks.
  • Pets are not permitted in the Park in any roofed accommodation. If any sign of the pet within the roofed accommodation a $250.00 cleaning fee will be charge to the named guests credit card.
  • Any disturbance to other guests created by the pet, will be asked to resolve the issue.

If these rules are not adhered to, the named guest and group related to this party may be asked to exit the park without a refund.

 

Kitchen Packs (pots, pans, utensils, crockery & cutlery included) $2.00, towels $3.00 and cot hire $15.00: available during opening hours at reception. 

Laundry facilities: Open 24 hours a day for guest use. Coin operated washing machines and dryers are available in the Holiday Park laundry. All machines accept $2.00 coins. Washing powder is available from reception during office hours

WI-FI: All guests receive 250mb of free Wi-Fi per device per day.

Additional Wi-Fi via IKS can be purchased at reception during office hours.

500mb - $2.00 (24hrs)

1GB - $3.00 (24hrs)

5GB - $5.00 (1 week) 

 

Public Phone: Unfortunately, we no longer have a public phone, as the telco company has removed the phone. There are two on the main street in Westport. One next to the dairy/shop as you drive into town (Millhouse) and one near the NZ Post Shop.

 

Lost property: We hold all items for 1 month, after this time, if not claimed, we will donate reusable items to charity.

 

Key/DVD returns:

  • Keys: During office hours, they can be returned to the Reception. However, if you leave before Reception opens, please leave the keys at Reception in the drop box. Any keys missing will be charged to the named guest.                                   
  • DVD’s: If you have paid a bond with cash, please return the DVD/s during office hours. If you wish to return your DVD hire outside Reception hours, credit card details will be held as a bond. Then please place the DVD/s into the “key/DVD” drop box at Reception.

Food and Supplies:

Our Reception sells milk and a range of drinks and ice creams. We also have a small range of camping equipment and toiletries.

Donaldos café/bar/restaurant/dairy and bakery is only 400 meters down the road, and they are well stocked with milk, bread, general groceries and newspapers.

If you do require more than this, there are two supermarkets in Westport township (4.2 KM from Carters Beach). They are open from 8.30am until at least 8.30pm.
 

Directions to the park:
Travel to Carters Beach 4km south of the Buller Bridge.  Follow Holiday Park signs into Tasman Street & turn left at Marine Parade.  Park located 300m from Marine Parade/Tasman Street intersection.
